Q&A

| Question: | Is there one detergent product I can use to extraction clean all carpets? |
| Answer: | "All carpets" is a big question as there are carpets with very sensitive dyes that are affected by pure water or some gentle acids. There are also carpets that are not wet cleanable as in the case of sisal, seagrass, silk etc. Some of the latest biodegradable carpets are made of paper which is sensitive to water however in most cases and the usual industry standard pre-test there are options where you can clean all wet cleanable fibres with the same extraction detergent rinse safely and professionally and get very good results. 1. Use the One Clean detergents as both the powder and the liquid version are "Woolsafe" approved and are safe on all wet cleanable fibre types. Despite the gentleness of the chemistry they offer powerful cleaning results without the high pH often associated with good cleaning. 2. Use DFC 105 this is a boosted but detergent free, perfume free, "Woolsafe" approved choice for all wet cleanable fibres and is safe enough to use on wet cleanable upholstery too. If soils are variable it makes good economic sense to tailor your pre-spray / traffic Lane cleaner to the soil type and keep the detergent rinse that works on the majority of the carpets you are cleaning. If your business cleans mostly synthetic commercial carpets however, nothing can out perform the worlds best carpet cleaning detergent Powdered Formula 90, this can offer such benefits as speed and better results, so it is sometimes very worth the effort to invest in two rather than one. |
