| Question: | What is ozone treatment? |
| Answer: | Ozone is a highly reactive gas molecule consisting of three atoms of oxygen – hence the chemical symbol O3. It is 13 times more soluble in water than oxygen and has an odour similar to the back of your television, or the smell in the air after a thunderstorm. Similar to the way in which a fire will oxidise organic matter, ozone changes one substance to another, destroying the remaining odour causing trace substances, and changes them to carbon dioxide and water. Safety precautions should always be considered when using ozone machines, and should only be used in a controlled environment and by trained staff. |
